Fun with observation.
This weekend I will share everything that I found hilarious about the movie King Kong because either they're really stupid or it just didn't make any sense to me. This may spoil the movie for some, so if you're going to see the movie don't read my next post before you do.But, on the subject of movies, why not talk about another observation? Did you know that men and women are different? It's true! Someone should write a book about it. I bet there'd be lots of subject matter to go through.
Anyway, I was thinking about romance movies and the like, and I noticed that women are written to look past the ugliness of a guy and see who he really is, and they can fall in love with that person. Guys do this too, sometimes. However, before they start going out she gets made beautiful first. He'll never settle for her ugliness, even if she is truly beautiful inside.
Now, granted, I don't watch a lot of romance movies, so I'd love some examples of when the lead male takes an ugly-ass woman instead of a beautiful woman. And don't say The Matrix. Yeah, Neo should have been covered in ladies but the only alternative on that little ship died halfway through the movie so it was Trinity or that lady in red the ratboy made up. And when he got back to Xion he didn't try to get with any of the black women because he's obviously racist. So don't say The Matrix.
So, does this little observation carry over into real life? You bet it does. Now, I don't have the greatest sample size on this, but I think women like to talk about ugly guys they've dated. It's sort of like saying, "Yeah, he had buck teeth and was hunched like crazy, but I can put up with that kind of stuff because I'm not shallow." You'll never hear guys talk like that. "Hey bro, I used to date the ugliest girl you could ever imagine. Impressed that I'm not shallow? Huh?"
Speaking of which, the lead girl in King Kong had crazy front teeth like a rabbit.
