Selfless.
Been a while, so I choose a topic that seems appropriate.Whoever came up with the theory that "there are no selfless acts" meaning that people only help people to feel good about themselves: You've got the wrong idea.
I can pretty much make anything meaningless if I want to. So you can either think that everything is selfless or that nothing is selfless.
But trying to show people that doing good things is actually a selfish thing? That just seems evil to me.
Everything I experience has a base, and that base from my point of view is myself. I like to help people, and it's a good thing that I feel good about myself for it. Would I do it if it made me feel bad about myself? I don't know. Why? Because it is not possible.
I've tried to think of a way to do a good deed for another and not feel good from it. Certainly I can sacrifice a lot in order to help someone, such as sleep or money, but I still feel good about the deed. I just feel crappy because I'm out of money or I got no sleep. It's like: Well, I'm an idiot and I'm really sleepy and broke, but at least that kid has an ice cream cone.
Anyway, I've lost the point. Just try to be as selfishly helpful as you can.
And what's the deal, anyway? Why would you want to be "selfless" in the first place?
