Spending for nothing.
One day before classes start, I like to rest and do nothing in what I think is preparation for the upcoming grind. However, it occurs to me that people can't really save up energy. I'd like to think that by lying around and doing nothing for months I'd have enough energy saved to do something really incredible, like lift a building or something. Instead, I have energy to get tired faster than usual when I try to do something athletic.
What kind of cosmic irony makes it so the best way to prepare for something is not to save energy but to get really good at using it over and over again for nothing?
I guess it's not for nothing if you're preparing to do something with it. I need to reword it. But instead I'm going to get some food because I'm hungry.
